It’s a challenging work environment. But if you’re up to the task, it’s incredibly rewarding and you learn a lot. Plus, all of the opportunities to gain new work experience will do a lot to boost your resume.

Cons

No real SOPs or any tried-and-true processes in place to simplify the company’s day-to-day tasks.

It's complex and it does certainly challenge our engineers, but it is changing enterprise networking so I can see why you find it rewarding! While we take pride in that, and while many of us like to have our work be challenging, we never want the work ENVIRONMENT to be challenging. We believe in making sure that our people feel supported and empowered by great leadership. Hopefully you feel that way, but if you don't, leadership wants to hear about it. We believe that the best practice is to escalate issues to your direct manager if you don't feel like you have what you need to do your job happily and well, but if you can't, the HR team is hear to listen and help you find ways to get that support. Regarding processes, we're excited about the recent hire of a Director of Business Transformation here at NetBrain. It's a brand new role reporting to our CEO and this person will be working on those processes that you mentioned. Thanks again for your feedback!

I have never felt this happy at any other company I’ve worked for! That – to me – is the most important pro there is.

Cons

Little things here and there. Nothing major and nothing I haven’t experienced at every other job I’ve had.

No layoffs during COVID-19 pandemic

At the start of the pandemic, management told us that they would do everything in their power to make sure we all had jobs at the end of the year. I’m happy to say they kept their promise and no one was laid off.

Cons

There’s a couple of people on staff with some massive egos.

Thanks so much for recognizing our pledge to keep people together and our success in doing so. We don't want to get too big of an ego : ) but we're pretty proud of that!! All kidding aside, I can understand the ways that some personalities clash. There isn't a company in the world with more than 100 people where everybody gets along all the time. We do our best to create a culture where people feel like their ideas and feedback are welcome, and I can say first hand that I've had a conversation with somebody from the executive leadership team who preached the importance of having a "Listen like I'm wrong" kind of culture. Egos come into play in almost every scenario imaginable in life, let alone in the work place, but if you need help navigating a particularly difficult disagreement, the HR team is always here to help. We make it a priority to hire great collaborative people. Hopefully if you have a difference in opinion, you can find ways to directly, politely and constructively handle them directly with the other party, but HR is here to support you if needed.
