Pros

New leadership. The company is growing. Travel. Flexible.

Cons

Disorganized. No support (i.e developers, project managers, knowledge transfer). If you are a business analyst, you will have to learn the system fast and then produce results. Although you receive training, the training is useless if you do not have industry insight. You''re better off coming in with industry experience. Associates are swamped with projects and if you ask for help, good luck!

Pros

Netsmart is a 40 year old company that has brought on new leadership in May of 2011 (CEO, Execs, HR, etc...). The direction of the company has drastically changed. The healthcare IT industry is growing very quickly and Netsmart will be leading the way in the mental health/rehabilitation sector. Good pay, lots of opportunity for career growth, job security, good benefits, most everyone seems to actually want to be there, management has been easy going/understanding, challenging work that is not boring.

Cons

You will be busy and work hard. Some of the same corporate rigidness is seeping in even though company is only 600 people.

Pros

God people, good company, good product. There is job security and if you aren't too ambitious you can stay here for a long time. Provide good training to new developers. Flexible with time off.

Cons

Outdated Technology. Senior developers have been with the company for many decades and are generally unaware of better ways to do things out there. While there is talk about making this a 'good place to work', for an IT company the culture is very boring and corporate. Some very poorly designed code, software while generally good is extremely buggy and unreadable making support a nightmare. Bad location in the middle of Long island, I guess its good if that's where you want to be but I'd prefer to be in NYC.
