So long, farewell, good-bye

Pros

Start you off with a very competitive salary and make you feel as though you are part of a family. If you are the SME, they will bring you on board.

Cons

They are like teenagers, telling you what you WANT to hear, only telling what you NEED to hear at the 11th hour. When you NEED to speak to someone, they are either nowhere to be found or if phone calls/e-mails are made,...radio silence. With their current Business Development lifestyle they will always be "chasing after the ring" but never quite getting it. And as others have said, when the contract is over, so is there relationship with you...good luck in getting the next job if you have not planned in advance.

Great small company to work for.

Pros

- Good projects - For a company this small, you get to work on projects that are at the cutting edge of latest technologies. - Competent colleagues - No bench warmers, you get to work with people with solid experience and background. Most of the employees are kind and caring and several of them have been here for years. - Freedom and flexibility - People here live in the real world. If your car breaks down and you are late for a meeting (or need to miss it), it will be understood. Lot of people work from home. As long you do not abuse the privilege, it really is a flexible place to work at. - Decent compensation - Within expected limits, they do not skimp and you can expect pay packages at the high end of what your role is usually offered.

Cons

- Because of dependency on one or two big clients, opportunities can sometimes be limited.

Pros

Good pay when there was work.

Cons

Poor communication between contractors and head office. Contractors were treated as being completely disposable. No benefits. No government contract =no work = no stability
