Pros

Great place to work where H&S includes mental well-being and support to achieve the right work-life balance.

Cons

Typical large organisation inertia, takes a long time to get things done.

Pros

Pension Good job security Subsidised rail travel to work

Cons

Diversity and mental health concerns are preached from the rooftops but if you are unlucky enough to have a bullying manager (and there are plenty of them), you have problems. HR won't help you and if you take out a grievance, the hearing managers tend to find any excuse not to uphold your complaint. Watch out for favouritism and ageism too (older male employees aren't valued if they're in the lower grades).
