Thanks for leaving a review! Thanks for the feedback regarding safety - I appreciate there can be frustrations with this but as a safety critical company, safety is at the heart of what we do for the sake of our employees and passengers. We encourage safety throughout the organisation so our office workers and staff on track equally have safety on the forefront of their minds. We want "everybody home safe everyday." https://www.networkrail.co.uk/who-we-are/our-approach-to-safety/our-safety-vision/ Reinold Talent Acquisition Manager

Pros

The support given to continuous professional development is superb, with lots of money available to spend on training. The 75% (taxable) discount on a season ticket is a really beneficial perk and saves me £1000 a year. The pensions on offer are among the best in the UK and prove extremely lucrative for long term employees.

Cons

Travelling and hotels. Due to the company being nationwide there is a fair amount of travel involved meaning nights away from the family in hotels.

Thanks for your review! It is great to hear you are enjoying our benefits and have been supported in your career development. Regarding travelling, we try to encourage technology where possible as an alternative to showing a physical presence although that's not always possible. Reinold Talent Acquisition Manager

Pros

Excellent work life balance. Real opportunity to be involved from the start of your time at the company. Access to all levels of management, a very open culture

Cons

Finance sometimes doesn't have the sway or pulling power that you would expect in a company this size. Can sometimes feel like no value is being added from the work you do

Thanks for leaving a review! Glad to hear about your positive experience in Network Rail. There are changes internally that can make it seem that your pulling power is reduced but don't lose sight. We value the work you do! Reinold Talent Acquisition Manager
