Pros

Job security. Good pension. Friendly coworkers. Good work and home life balance.

Cons

Poorly run. Poor progression. Takes a long time to implement anything new. Management submit irrelevant safety 'Close Calls' to meet targets. Health and Safety overkill. Management prevent progression or jobs or secondments due to it being either a 'Conflict of Interest' or 'Not in (your) career plan'. Lack of training.
