Pros

Money is not bad, people are great. Union is active in improving work conditions. I really enjoyed my first 2 years here.

Cons

Work life balance is non existent. Long hours are supposed to be offset by long days off. Always scheduled on days off to come in.

Rewarding pay, challenging work.

Pros

Pay and benefits are great: high starting wage, quarterly bonuses, and overtime are abundant. 401k with company matching as well as full health and dental benefits. As a production crew employee, you get 15 days off, including a 6 consecutive day break, once per month. Plenty of paid vacation time which you can combine with your regular days off. It has an outstanding safety record, which is pretty impressive considering the environment. More than one job path within the location. Would recommend to the right person.

Cons

The environment and schedule can be deal breakers for many people. It is very hot and fast paced. You may not get a break and there is no designated break period, even though you must claim you took one. It is a dirty job with bad smells. Most shifts are at least 12 hours and and occur over day, night, weekends, and holidays rain or shine. You will have to deal with hostile attitudes and environments regularly. Small mistakes can cause major problems. Very demanding. Linear career growth despite multiple job path. Crew members aint to professional sometimes. Not for everyone.
