Best group I have worked in

Pros

The people are highly dedicated and intelligent. There is a great deal of mutual respect in the team and some highest level of consideration I have been afforded as an engineer. People from a huge array of backgrounds makes work always interesting.

Cons

Some networking skills are needed, especially under remote work. It's not the kind of trumpet blowing needed at creative agencies, you just need to reach out to people from time to time.

Pros

Salaries are better than most media outlets; the NYT is a prestige outlet

Cons

Understaffing; management and HR have put behavioral expectations in place that aren’t enforced
