The business is doing well in terms of revenue. And the company is always "roll"-ing out new products. You'll hear lots of puns like these in the company. There are lots of team outings, and you will see efforts to improve the culture and the feedback system all the time. You will get chances to go to meetups, conferences, give tech talks, and grow in your career. In fact, this company has alarmingly fast promotion rates. It seems like every other person gets a senior or a director title every 6 months. So to re-iterate - the business is good.
Cons
Everyone from the executive team, the vice presidents, to the sales pitches are all swinging the company's Big Data accomplishments. Big Data this, Big Data that. "Do you have something to say about our Big Data? No? Then I'm already bored of this conversation." If you aren't doing anything related to Big Data, you won't get much attention from the executives about your individual contributions. So all the reward systems set in place are mainly for Engineers who specialize in working with big data or sales people who can bring in large clients. The executives don't have time for sugar coating. While efficient on their part, you are left wondering if you would do better in another company. And if you voice this concern, you'll probably be asked to leave.
