      Pros

      The Emerson people are very professional. 401K match good and pay is okay.

      Cons

      New culture with other countries has brought down the environment. So much so that there was training to be "one Nidec". President and CFO from Italy want to close down parts of the company and go on SAP and move all the jobs to Brazil. Still haven't communciated a plan to move locations.

      Small town feel, big company heart

      Pros

      Well staffed (mechanically). Design oriented role. Friendly employees. Global company support. Lots of existing designs to reference. Plenty of opportunities for prototyping. Thriving company with investments for growth.

      Cons

      One of the three major branches has no design team, so the Lexington branch designs for them. Lots of sales, quality, and procurement support that can get in the way of the design focus.
