      Operations..you mean nothing.

      Dress code. Work environment. Happy hours.

      Pay is awful for operations. They build you up as being so important to the company but don’t back that up financially. I understand sales is high risk, high reward and they do deserve more money. With that said, you have some people getting in car stipends what ops makes in a year. Senior brokers makes $20k before commission more than their ops. It’s degrading and a slap in the face. Also, management will lie and make false promises. You will be told of a “large one time bonus and salary increase” if you assist a broker from Senior to VP...doesn’t happen. And the opportunity might be snatched from you when you are moved to new brokers who aren’t even close to reaching VP status. Even worse, it’ll be spun as somehow benefiting you.

      -Wear whatever you want to work -Work with fun/young people -Good Training

      Cons

      -Extremely micromanaged -People that work the hardest are often rewarded the least -Upper Management is constantly changing the structure of the company so your commission schedule changes several times a year. -Expect you to be at work early and stay late -Have an after hours phone that everyone has to take home for a week. Essentially on call for an entire week with no extra compensation. -Lot of work politics

      The managers here are good people who care about your success despite the management issues above them.

      Cons

      THIS IS A 75% A COLD CALL SALES POSITION and they do NOT make that clear in the recruiting process (you will also be required to work on weekends with customers calling you at all hours- not made clear in recruiting either). The metrics for the job are not indicative of your success and hard work. The new commission structure has caused the best performing brokers to quit, making it hell for everyone who is left there as upper management is coming down hard due to lack of margins being made (highest performing employees quit = lower margins). Benefits have been cut and the overall atmosphere/work environment has diminished due to morale. do not work here. It seems like a fun environment when you interview but its not worth the constant badgering about how you're not making enough sales calls and not running enough loads. The commission potential is not worth the constant nagging and micromanaging that the management is forced to put in place. Management/personnel changes are constant and unpredictable making it a very uneasy position to be in as far as job stability goes.
