Pros

Job Description and goals completely predictable. 20% store discount. Great opportunities to continue career path inside Nordstrom.

Cons

Job Description and goals completely predictable. There is a definite checklist for store goals and positions. For Customer Service: Open New Accounts, Get E-Mail Addresses, Go Mobile. Not a lot of thinking outside the box. Everything has a checklist, to the point where there is no over-ride thought-process -- just meet goals and lead other stores, with things on the checklist. Also, a VERY concerted effort to keep the staff running at 30 hours/week or under so no one qualifies for benefits. And a keen watch on punching in and out by the minute. Full-time, but not 40 hours/week. Benefits are good, but only when you get them.
