nordstrom is a nice place to work. there are a lot of locations which means it its easier to transfer.

Cons

It is always hard working in retail, especially in this economy, So the negative is the lack of money being made based on commission.

Pros

The benefits at Nordstrom are really good. Depending on your manager you can have a flexible schedule. The employees are friendly.

Cons

The customer is always right, as a result you will be treated poorly by some customers. Your salary is tied to your sales/returns.

Pros

Nordstrom is commission based which is good if you are good at selling. You have the opportunity to make a fair living.

Cons

Your coworkers are highly competitive due to commission based pay. Though Nordstrom says they are all about customer service, ultimately if you are a better seller and don't break any serious rules, they don't care about how you treat people
