Pros

Comes with benefits and relatively good hours, and possibility to make good money on a fashion retail stand point.

Cons

Commission! You should understand its commission (the more you sell the more you make) Returns subtracts from your sales. If you are a recent degree graduate or have a considerable good qualification, it is good to have a job for now but don't stop looking for other opportunities in your field. You will most likely make more than your manager and 95% - 100% of your colleagues, once you get your actual job. It's a sales company so they will tell you figures you will probably never make unless you are an amazing gorilla sales person or have a lot of rich friends and family who will spend tons with you.

Pros

Nordstrom was an amazing company to work for. Overall the staff had a positive and motivating attitude. There were also always incentives to reach your sales goals.

Cons

Finding a part time position at Nordstrom can be difficult. Also as in most retail jobs there was not a lot of flexibility in taking time off.
