Pros

Working on commission- the effort you put forth is directly related to how much you are paid

Cons

Working on commission- no base pay, not sure if the pay is enough for how many hours worked

Pros

Lots of beautiful stuff, and friendly people, good pay for retail, good benefits, you get to dress up for work :)

Cons

Your paycheck is heavily affected by the economy. Overstaffing, sometimes makes you fight for your paycheck. Management use blatant favoritism, people are often promoted based on who likes them not based on whether they are qualified.

Pros

opportunity for growth benefits 401k discount learn a lot

Cons

there is definitely favoritism between upper and lower managers. run very slim on hours yet constantly piling on more responsibility and they expect everything to be done fast and perfect. They are very greedy in terms of allocating hours to the different depts. We have a huge department and more than a million things to get done everyday yet no help to do it. my employees and i have to kill ourselves everyday just to get a portion of the tasks and responsibilities done. i would be very interested to see how big the rack's profit margin is because they run so lean on hours.
