Pros

They allow for a good amount of independence. The benefits are pretty good considering it's retail. The pay can be good if you work hard.

Cons

Managers are often blind to their own biases and rank based on favoritism, not productivity. Also, there's not much of a chance for career growth. For people wanting to become buyers, go another route.

Pros

Beautiful stores, working hard will show in your paycheck. Not the same pay for those whom are lazy or not self starting

Cons

Management changes alot and so then does the expectations. Not a team , you are on your own agaist fellow sales people. Dog eat dog on the sales floor.

Pros

Fabulous reputation. The bonus structure rewards individual and team performance. A promote from within culture. Plenty of opportunity - particularly if you are willing to move or relative to other companies if one does not have a college degree.

Cons

Little training. Promote from within culture is changing - more and more promotions are going to external candidates. The very competitive culture sometimes results in an environment that is less than supportive.
