      Pros

      You find out the newest trends while you're getting paid, Management encourages sales associates to try on merchandise for feedback & knowledge, Pay is reasonable, Get a commission check whenever you reach a sales goal for the pay period, GREAT staff / store manager, HR is always behind you and on your side, Every employee is given chances to move up within the company (Had a store manager who started as a sales associate when he was just 18 and worked for the company through college) overall a great place to work

      Cons

      You have to open atleast 1 Nordstrom credit card every month. If not, you're required to attend a class that will teach you how to do so.

      Pros

      There are career advancement opportunities in sales or management by selling some of the finer products in the retail industry. Nordstrom gives an employee the skills to better themselves both inside and outside the workplace.

      Cons

      Some management positions are held by incompetent managers and the hiring process is somewhat questionable. There is a lot of internal hiring but can be tricky when trying to move up in the company because many applicants send resumes to the position.

      fairness, people in upper management listen and want the opinions of people on the front lines, ongoing recognition, profit sharing and 401k match

      Cons

      limited career movement in an outlying store, unless you're in a larger market, you will need to move to different cities to promote your career growth
