Pros
Good job security, fun place to work. If you work in any department that is not directly involved in buying or selling merchandise, your pay, promotions, recognition, and time will be valued as fixed overhead (always needs sqeezing, slow to increase). However, if you are involved in the core business of buying and selling, you'll be given a fair amount of lattitude and a performance bonus potential.
Cons
It's a giant company with many niche positions and a certain level of politics. You'll need to push pretty hard for rapid advancement, and if you don't push at all, you'll be in your same position for a decade or more. In my experience, the firm hires "B" level employees instead of holding out for the "A"s.
