      Pros

      The benefits are decent, and Boston is just an amazing city to live in. The campus is not so large, which I preferred.

      Cons

      The university is following a trend of treating all departments / colleges as businesses in private industry. Maybe that's appropriate, but it felt strange to me.

      Pros

      Good medical/dental/other benefits offered, including free grad school (part time / night classes), and a very motivated and inspiring student population that was great to work with.

      Cons

      Has many of the downsides of working for a large, bureaucratic, hierarchical institution, including inflexibility, slow progress on change, higher level adminstrators who are somewhat disconnected from the realities of staff who actually work with students.
