Hours outside of full time are limited

No one ever told me about medical leave, and I kept working in fear during a pregnancy loss, which eventually led to major medical complications. Leadership witnessed my deteriorating health but added workload. I only learned about leave from my doctor after a major breakdown. Hours after requesting leave, I was issued a write-up. HR was unresponsive and focused on minimizing time-off costs rather than wellbeing. I was removed and erased from projects and my professional networks monitored. I had to navigate a severe health crisis, and repeatedly complete their endless forms in fear. I’ve since found a much better place, but I still have nightmares about that place and hope no one else has to go through it.
