Business Outlook
Pros
- There are plenty of interesting/smart people around the company (unfortunately they are not the ones in charge). - Compensation isn't bad for this part of Maine - Good amount of PTO - A lot of teams manage to have a good culture even if the overall leadership is toxic.
Cons
- Bad leaders (constantly changing strategies, constant restructuring, lack of understanding of data, lack of accountability) - Too many leaders. For a hospital of this size there are way to many VPs. They eat up and waste a large amount of the budget without contributing any real value. - IS infrastructure is very old - IS security team is inept and needlessly fearful of new technologies. - Very resistant to change even if it is long overdue.
