Working with Northern Trust for more than 5 years- Good place to work

Pros

Compensation is bad compared to other companies. Growth is too slow untill you have a good support from your senior management. But a peaceful company to work if you are not looking for quick promotion. Sports and other activities is the best thing i like in this company.

Cons

Best place to work for youngsters.

Northern Trust is a large, multinational company with offices accross the globe. It provides various financial services it its client which are apart from within the US mainly large financial institutions or corporations. There are a variety of different business units and sections.

Cons

Given its size, Northern Trust has a very complicated structure which results in lack of visibilty, lack of ownership and makes it very difficult to navigate within.

Great work environment. Always given an opportunity to learn something new.

Cons

Compensation could be better. Bonus is very low and very few perks are given to employees. Some managers are biased and thus growth opportunities reduce.
