      - Job security - Big name for your resume - 9 to 5 - Good training resources

      Cons

      - "You can be the smartest man in the world, but you won't advance your career if you don't work from the office" - President of WM - Politics are more important than talent/hard work (see quote) - Silos everywhere - Slow to embrace data and technology - Bureaucratic - Pay is notoriously low

      No micromanagement and leadership accountability is increasing.

      Cons

      Back stabbing No trust in Individual contributors Poor Leadership Promotions based on who you know rather than on your contributions and work you do. No accountability process in teams . Worst place I have ever worked in my life . Feel disrespected after having years of experience . For the most part ,I understand the business have good communication skills and speak my mind , which is looked down upon . You are only “allowed” to give an opinion when asked.

      Stability and trust- it is a company with a sold history that endures.

      Cons

      Compensation is awful and not aligned to the market. Northern Trust targets the lowest 25% of those with similar roles in other organizations.... in other words, 75% of other companies will pay more.
