Pros

Many contracts provides many more opportunities to stay working when compared to subcontractors Practically unlimited prime contracts which earn more respect among professionals Recognizable Top 5 defense contractor Innumerable military and space products created for the USA Benefits and pay are way above average Holiday shutdowns are paid in addition to standard PTO

Cons

Being part of a marginalized social group is highly encouraged, leaving regular workers feeling confused and unappreciated Agile methods and EVM make for a pressure cooker work environment

Pros

-9/80 schedule -easy 9-6 (if you’re entirely work-to-live)

Cons

-old/inefficient methods and processes -can’t keep talented early to mid career engineers due to boring work and poor compensation (but old guard is excellent)
