      Pros

      The orientation process was detail oriented. Management is involved and willing to help and listen to concerns. The majority of the staff are friendly and very helpful. The benefits are excellent.

      Cons

      PTO is initially less then my previous employer. The commute is terrible in Atlanta traffic. There isn't much team work on the unit.

      Pros

      Pension plan and matched 403b. In my department no holidays, nights, or weekends. Physicians and physicians assistants are great to work with.

      Cons

      No autonomy. Micromanaged beyond belief. Short staffed. High staff turn over. No support from management. Reprimanded for thinking outside the box, for being an independent thinker, or not following the "status quo".

      Pros

      Comfortable work environment, good nurses, very good consultant support, interesting mix of patient cases, very competitive benefits package (including pension plan, as well as 457 and 403b)

      Cons

      Scheduling in our group seems disorganized and haphazard; no provision for surges in patient census; computerized order entry is dismal and we still do handwritten progress notes; administrative power structure is completely inscrutable though they are generally benevolent.
