Kitchen staff are lovely people, they were the best people at the company and treated you with respect unlike anyone else there. Benefits were fine

HR are not your friend, it’s obvious but if you are in their crosshairs they will hunt you like game and try to find any reason to write you up to get you fired. You can be sitting in the corner at lunch, walking to your department and they make you afraid to make eye contact with anyone in HR. Once you are in their hit list they’ll pull you aside into a conference room and tell you about a BS complaint for the softest reason and pretend to care so that they can build a case against you. Fear is their weapon cause you don’t want to be unemployed and they want to feel special and have a power trip.
