      Pros

      Pay was competitive. Unit I worked on was cohesive and well run. Friendly coworkers. Nursing staff worked together well. Yearly market increases (raises) varied from fine to really good.

      Cons

      Significant downsizing of women's unit now that WFBH has its birth center open. Novant as an organization did not keep up with the times in regards to what families want for labor and delivery due to having no competition. Kinda got caught with their pants down when WFBH opened their birthing unit.

      Great co-workers! Awesome clinical staff to work with.

      Cons

      Dishonest managers, with ulterior motives are in place to be the voice of a great company. The system of checks and balances doesn't exist. Impulsive decisions to terminate effective, and productive employees goes unchecked, when staff has repeatedly appealed to upper management that something is amiss, and they feel intimidated by the manager in question.
