Pros

Management is fairly laid back. 7-3 work schedule Mon-Fri during slow periods.

Cons

The pay is LOW for what they ask of plant employees. Seems nothing is ever done to improve employees standard of living before or during the current hyper inflation. You can pretty much forget any pay raises here as a plant employee. When the busy season hits, they think nothing of working 10 hours a day and 8 hours on Saturday for months at a time. Satisfying the customer is one thing, but not nearly enough thought seems to be given to employee welfare. Never mind that long-term, loyal, older employees have a hard time holding up under that kind of schedule or younger employees who have children at home. Seems its ALL ABOUT RUTHLESS CORPORATE EFFICIENCY HERE. The place is owned by Waddington North America, which is owned by Novolex, which is owned by Apollo. I believe the local management to be under the daily microscope of the corporate hierarchy who hide behind computer screens and telephones at off-site locations and don't have to face the employees. Local management seems to spend so much time in meetings and conference calls and dealing with all manner of emails and required reports that its seems they are often inattentive to employees who need management input in trying to get things done. Problems are ignored, especially if it costs money. Morale here is bad. Local management doesn't seem to care that the employees in this plant are suffering in despair as long as they are getting theirs. That might require them to actually have to stand up for the employees and that is too risky. Who cares about the high turnover rate? Get the warm bodies in the revolving door so long as they will work for the low pay rate dictated by corporate. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! Holding companies are one of the biggest problems in America today. Well demonstrated here.
