Pros

Nutrabolt is a fast growing company

Cons

Below-market salary ($70k), one raise over 4 years, lack of diversity, “boys club” work culture, chaotic work/life balance, poor creative leadership, uninspiring creative initiatives, poor communication, little-to-no transparency, very poor company benefits, delusions of grandeur, embarrassing endorsements and b-level marketing partners, out-of-touch social media campaigns, use of misogynistic and sexist advertising tropes

Pros

Benefits package is probably the best thing about working here. Speaking only from my experience, you will receive 401K matching, many options for healthcare coverage with the ability to elect into a FSA/HSA with company matching, potential for bonus options, and the flexibility to "work your way" (i.e. remote, hybrid, or full time in office....only caveat is that your manager has to agree to this, but fortunately many don't care).

Cons

If you don't kiss up (i.e. don't ask questions or voice problems), aren't a man (specifically a white man), and try to avoid ruthless politics, then you will be used and abused and likely have a negative experience if you even make it past the organizational restructuring that occurs roughly every six months. Nutrabolt likes to tout a One Team mentality, but this was not my experience. Teams within the same department compete for attention and promotions largely because senior leadership is insecure, inexperienced, or both and don't know how to foster true collaboration, trust, and psychological safety in the workplace. As a result, either due to firings or folks quitting, I had many different bosses during my time at the company, and none of them provided mentorship or tangible opportunities for growth. In fact, often times I felt like they were actively working against me. If you are early in your career, I would *hesitantly* advocate for Nutrabolt as a good option for you because you will be exposed to probably more than you bargained for but, if leveraged correctly, that can act as a career accelerator. The reasons you will be exposed to probably more than you can handle is because corporate strategies shift constantly based on the trend du jour, financial and supply chain forecasting runs amuck, and the "doers" of the company are either under-supported or burnt out to really deliver the kind of hockey stick results the company wants to boast so you will have opportunities to work on other functions outside your job duties. It can be a crash course, but some folks do not like that kind of environment. If you want to work at a place that will foster your talent and help you grow into a director or VP level and beyond, I would say look elsewhere. They rarely promote internally to these higher levels, despite underlings being tasked with and shown ability to handle senior level work. Depending on your team, you will be buried under "ideas people" with little to no structure or empowerment to actually execute those ideas. Please be careful if you are considering working for this company.
