      Pros

      If you're from Oklahoma, or graduated from OU or OSU, or "came up in the ranks" at OGE - this is your place.

      Cons

      If you're not one of the above, the experience you bring isn't valued and you aren't trusted (I was actually told this twice in two years).

      Pros

      Great co-workers and supervisors seem to care.

      Cons

      Very poor bonus and raise structure. Management is not transparent on how to get better raise ratings. There is still a buddy system for promotions.

      Pros

      OG&E provided a great salary and benefits. It really is true that employees treat each other like family. If you do good work and management takes a shine to you, you'll move up quickly.

      Cons

      There's very much a good ol' boy network running OG&E. It seems difficult for female employees to progress beyond middle management, unless they are brought into an upper-management/executive role from outside the company.
