Great people to work for & with. Decent compensation. The compensation isn't bad for a company this size.

Cons

People across groups are resistant to working with each other and tend to be very set in their ways. Growth and change tends to be very slow. While there are many regulatory reasons not to let certain groups work together, this company seems to have embraced the concept in most departments.

Pros

Great co-workers! Everyone is like a family once you get in. The 401K Matching is 150% which is lovely and Team$hare is great!. If you are into community service they give you paid hours and plenty of opportunity.

Cons

Management is basically like a high school click. (Watch Means Girls and that's how management is ran.) Some people will train you but most won't and they don't care. Also some people are very unprofessional in management.

Pros

Still has the work and family values of a traditional utility.

Cons

New non-utility members find the environment a struggle due to lack of technology adoption by the company. That is changing, but at a slow rate. Data centric decision making using technology is not the lead for company members. Gut feel and traditional experience rings through as the primary decision making criteria.
