      Pros

      The stipend is pretty decent and the career development you get out of it is largely dependent on where you do you fellowship and how motivated you are as an individual

      Outside of being very helpful with administrative things, there isn't much input

      Pros

      If you manage to get a good mentor, it's a great opportunity to enter this field and government work.

      Cons

      No PTO/sick time, minimal benefits. ORAU management is almost entirely hands-off. Advancement into a federal job as well as opportunities for exciting/interesting work depends on who your fed mentor is.
