Pros

Variety of Work: Contracting allows you to work on diverse projects across different industries, which can enhance skills and keep work interesting. Independence: Contractors generally operate as their own boss, which provides greater control over how they manage their work and time.

Cons

Instability: Contract work can be less stable than full-time employment, with gaps between contracts and uncertainty about future job prospects and ORAU does not do a great job at transition planning or business development to help fill gaps. Limited Job Security: Contract positions are often temporary and can be terminated with little notice, leading to reduced work weeks and financial uncertainty.
