Pros
The benefits! Health insurance, life insurance, dental, vision-- it's available for both full-time employees, as well as part-timers. Also, if you are FT, ORNL will pay you up to $25,000 to further your education in college.
Cons
Every branch culture is different. I've worked in a strictly professional environment, and I've also worked in a more lax setting, as well. In the latter, I've personally experienced some inappropriate behavior-- namely, discrimination. I don't fault the credit union for that-- it was simply the branch that I worked at. At that particular branch, most of my colleagues were ignorant to people unlike themselves, mainly due to the location.
