Pros

Working in an airport Eating for free. Meeting celebrities lol there's almost no pros.

Cons

Everything! 10 to 12 hour shifts No work/life balance Poor Training from management down to their cashiers. There's no training material for anything. Managers are not really involved with the business, as far as monitoring numbers (sales, labor budget, etc) you are just a pawn to run the operations. No structure in daily tasks, you just wing everything. The crew members are unionized, so they get away with murder. Upper management is not approachable and/or just not helpful.

OTG IS A JOKE!

Pros

The money was good for the most part. Great for networking.

Cons

Well, for starters, the hours are ridiculous. Sometimes leaving work at 8:30pm and having to return for a 4am shift. The shuttle to the airport from the employee parking lot ($28 a week) and the TSA line will add 30+ minutes to your commute. There were plenty of times that I was late to work because I was in the TSA line for 45+ minutes. There is absolutely no organization in that company. The restaurants are never fully stocked with the items needed to actually provide good service. There were items on the menu daily, such as wine and beer, that we never actually had in stock. They would randomly add drink specials to the menu but they wouldn't send the ingredients for the drinks, so we're left to improvise and "make it happen" instead of simply removing it from the digital menu. I've met some great managers there, but I've also had some of the worst. It's like they hire anyone for management. The turn over rate for managers is ridiculous and its usually the bad ones who stay the longest. Some of the managers would openly speak bad about employees and each other. Even talking about who is going to get fired or why someone got fired. They are also very big on favoritism. If they like you, you can have anything you want, such as free food and your preferred schedule. If they don't like you, they'll find a way to fire you or simply make you quit. Managers and HR are constantly giving you the run around whenever you're trying to resolve issues. Most of the people in HR had horrible attitudes. The union reps never come around, yet you’re paying $11+ weekly. Nothing changed once they were brought in. We were still expected to scrub floors and detail clean the entire place when VIP guests were visiting. This was usually done at the end of the night.. making $2.13 an hour. Minorities have a very hard time getting promoted. Hostesses and food runners are promised server positions for months, but they're overlooked when the restaurant is short staffed.
