Pros

Union benefits, 401k, dental, PTO, and rotating holidays off depending on work locations. There is also a lot of upward mobility if you play your cards right. You can work your way out of hospitality and into corporate if you have the right dedication. They love to promote from within. You can and will make a lot of money but it comes with a price.

Cons

Manager can and will pick favorites. You never know when you will leave on a night shift because your closing time depends on the last flight out of the gate your location is associated with. It's easy to get lost in the negative work environment, you need to really have a good head on your shoulders to stay focused. You need to have a wide open schedule and be willing to work any shift in the beginning to truly gain favor. It takes a long time to get seniority because the old timers don't leave.

Pros

You get a per diem to eat airport food

Cons

Potential manager and chef candidates for IAH. Ask why OTG kept the accrued vacation and also did not pay out the Q4 2019 bonuses to the managers they owed, before lay offs. This is theft. Ask why they are a company that has 25 years of history and aside from the VP the most tenured person has 6 years. A toxic culture from a toxic company.

Pros

They offer benefits including 401k

Cons

They hate their employees. For example we just reopened after Covid but they are saying because of the lay off we lost all of our paid time off days. They won't even let us call out sick without writing us up. So with Covid running rampant people are coming to work sick. The union has to keep filling complaints with the labor board because they just disregard our contact. We already won one large cash settlement and hopefully we will win another. A complete toxic work environment managers always looking for a way to punish.
