Pros
The job title "buffet server" is misleading. The vast majority of the time, your job is to move furniture: hundreds of chairs, dozens of heavy tables, portable dance floors and stages, podiums, etc.
Cons
The schedule is unpredictable and due to back-to-back events, you sometimes only get a few hours of sleep before your next shift begins. A 12-hour shift is not uncommon. You find out your work schedule beginning Fridays on Thursday afternoons, so you have little time to plan things on your days off.
