great way to get your foot in the door to the medical field. coworkers, for the most part, are amazing to work with.

Cons

Favoritism, understaffed, unable to balance work/family life due to being so short staffed. unorganized don't listen to staff when items are needed to be reorder/stocked.

Cant think of one at the moment, being that I was recently suspended for not having an Indiana Paramedic license even though I have been a licensed Paramedic in Michigan for the last 40 years. No mention was made of this during my interview process.

Cons

Should have advised me during the interview process for the need for an IN Paramedic license. Instead, they hired me and I had been employed with the South Bend OPI for 1.5 months when I was suspended for not having an IN license. So, I checked into getting the license, but being that I am not working for, nor is OPI an E.M.S. agency makes it impossible for me to get one. What does the license matter anyways. You are still certified for life after completing a program, and or if you are licensed in any state should make you good to go.
