Pros

Great company, as we all know, with great benefits, pay, etc.

Cons

Problem areas that cause drivers to shift away from a "team" mentality to an "every man for himself" mentality. Specifically unassigned trucks. I know, I know, they're all green and white. But there IS a difference. Some of us drivers (P&D and line haul) keep our truck interior cleaned up and others leave ankle deep trash and crumbs everywhere. Some have no working air conditioning. More importantly, though, is the problem of a veteran P&D driver being told to use a specific truck for his route that day for mechanical reliability reasons. That driver goes to get the truck and witnesses one of the recent new hires (who was swapping trailers at multiple locations that day) flying through the lot at an unsafe speed, dropping his trailer, jumping out of the truck he was in, and literally sprinting to take the truck the P&D driver was just told by management to take on his distant route. So the P&D driver had to take the other truck that had no AC working and go run a long, heavy route. This happened this week. It is but one example of constant issues with drivers having no regard for other drivers. Rude, disrespectful co-workers will take a truck even if another driver has just put his stuff in it for the day. I have personally had drivers take off with my stuff in the truck before I come out with my manifests to leave. Lunch, supplies, everything gone til they return at the end of the day. I've even seen them take trucks that have a visible tag signed by the TM stating that the truck is limited to be used by two specific P&D and line haul drivers.
