Pros

Not a lot. Some of the co-workers are helpful

Cons

No training or support from the management. I started with the understanding that I would be trained for the job and there would be a two week training period. I was shown where the files were on the first day and that was it. The person whom I replaced was moving to another part of the company and left after the first day. I was supposed to have a supervisor to start the same time as me only they never came (got a better offer). I was then told to do the supervisory job and mine until they hired a manager. It took two years to hire a manager and I never got a salary increase or recognition for the management role. HR did not help with this issue. I finally left the company. It is poorly managed and had ALOT of turnover because of this.

Pros

If you're a schmoozer and like to make locker room talk, you will do well. If you like to drink alcohol, you will do well. They like to drink, even on the job. If you want free clothes and pizza, this is the place for you. They'll buy you lunch and then make you do someone else's job too.

Cons

Don't expect a raise. Expect more work to be added to your plate without a wage increase. Was told I "like to complain" because I asked for more hours and a brand new employee got those hours when I had been there for 3 years. Super toxic older aged women in the office like to trade alcohol with the machine operator. You are looked down upon as a woman trying to fix her makeup at her desk at the end of the day. Was told I was "vain". Older men in the yard like to make inappropriate comments about female body parts. older employees think it should be taken as a compliment. HR was disrespectful, gave attitude, and rolled their eyes because I made it clear that the forklift operator was drinking on the job and dispensing homemade alcohol to other employees. co-workers will go through your personal belongings and email while you are not there to find information out about you.

Pros

Wish I would have found Oldcastle years ago! Great team to work with and tons of opportunities to advance if that's what you are looking for. I have the best manager I have ever had in my career. Treats me with respect and rewards me for my hard work. I look forward to the next several years here at Oldcastle!

Cons

Depending on your position, there can be a lot of travel, however, management is very supportive in whatever you might have going on in your personal life and is flexible with whatever your travel schedule may need to be to best fit your personal life and work life.
