My Career Success is based on output vs face time

Pros

Very down to earth company full of extra smart people. Not obnoxiously competitive. Non-hierarchical. I do interesting work & feel my efforts are rewarded.

Cons

Travel can be a taxing but the company supports ideas for making it things work if you have an alternative idea. The bottom line is we need to be at the client, but as much as they can, managers are open to flexibility. I'm especially grateful I'm not required to go into the office when not at the client; working from home is a real thing since I'm judged on my output.

Pros

Really, none. As an Ivy-League educated individual, I really wish I would have pursued other job offers. They would have offered much better career opportunities and knowledge in general.

Cons

Very light on developing connections or a network. Boring client work. Skill set development is kind of ok, if you want to be an Excel/SAS/Access monkey, but not good on the content side.

Not a great place for support professionals

Pros

Very good & smart people, fun social events, great office location. It was a good chance for me to get to know a new location and I took advantage of the few opportunities I was given.

Cons

Don't go to OW if you are not a consultant, and also if you are an experienced professional with a new perspective. No career track or professional development opportunities to speak of. Middle management is old and crusty, and ideas and opinions count for very little.
