Pros

- Strong leadership - Perks of traveling to new locations and splurging on food - Some interesting projects - Young people working in office

Cons

- Officially did layoffs this year, project pipeline is still bad so expect PIPs and low promotion rates - Micromanagement culture (will be scrutinized on stupid things like how to write an email or what font you are using on a deck) - Find projects yourself and network while on a project where you have to work 70-80 hour weeks. Why is there no support on helping you get on a project?? - Terrible WLB. If you raise it as an issue, it will be used against you. Just keep your head down and always talk about how great the company, your managers and your job is.

Pros

-remote work -great manager -close knit team -great networking opportunities

Cons

Poor pay and horrible work life balance. They really ask for way too much and don’t provide substantial payment. Partners in the firm get paid upwards of 1M but they can’t figured out how to pay their support professionals appropriately. It’s a disappointment.

Pros

- Amazing group of people; you're almost guarenteed to make friends and you'll love the vast majority of your team members - You learn skills that are transferable to almost any industry, and learn them quickly - You can be given a lot of responsibility pretty quickly - Promotion and reviews are very transparent - Flexible work environment (can work from home, paternity / maternity time, leave of absence, etc)

Cons

- Not enough attention is paid to burn out, which is dumb because OW's model relies on retention (we're just learning how to hire experienced hires / MBAs for manager roles, but out of necessity because not enough people are staying on). Yes consulting is high turnover, but there's too much luck of the draw; I've known several good consultants who left far too early after getting repeatedly screwed over in staffing / burning out - Benefits don't seem to be as strong as our competitors - Could do a better job staying in touch with alumni / supporting people who leave or get MBAs
