Pros

Benefits package is overall decent

Cons

If I could rate this company a 0 I would. I worked at Olsson for 1.5 years and it was the worst workplace experience I have ever had. Project managers throw work your way and expect you to know what you're doing right out of the gate. If you are not meeting their expectations of the work being done they will not approach you about how to improve but instead wait months down the road and complain to upper management in an effort to get you off the project. There is no transparency between management and employees. Management is not on your side even though they preach being a team. I felt I got hired because workloads were high at the time and when they slowed down, I was no longer needed. You will only get recognition for working a lot of overtime and if you only work 40 hours a week you are not seen as a valuable asset to the team. Pay is low even though the company is growing and making more revenue every year. There is no room for growth.

Pros

Company is growing at 10-20% per year. Pay, benefits, and bonus were above market rate. Average employee is excellent. Laid back atmosphere, talented management, and tons of resources to learn or move positions within company. Company is well organized and allows teams to function independently. Expect free food multiple times a month, team / office events regularly, free or cheap merchandise, and festive atmosphere during holidays.

Cons

The high performance culture results in some teams cutting back on investments into new softwares or training in order to boost profitability. Inefficient at large projects due to teams working so independently. 45+ hour work week and high importance on billable hours / multipliers.

Pros

The people who you are surrounded with on a daily basis truly care for your growth as a professional. I was given every opportunity to succeed and pivot in my career while working for Olsson.

Cons

You are required to work a minimum of 43 hours a week despite only getting paid for 40. Sometimes you will work up to 60 hours in a week if your project requires more time.
