Pros

-Sweet spot in size/maturity: Omada still has that start-up agility and gives us the opportunity to wear all hats, but it's also mature enough to have seasoned leadership and foundational processes in place to minimize the chaos -Mission-driven culture is real - runs in our DNA, passed down from our founder CEO Sean -Just great people and "have your back" collaborative culture.

Cons

-Being remote-first and meeting-heavy culture can mean LOTS of back-to-back zoom meetings, depending on your role -Downside to being in this "large start-up" phase means that career path / promotion opps are not obvious or standard. It's not like a small start-up where you can move up very quickly as company grows fast and your scope expands, and it's also not like a big company where there's a clear path of getting promoted or moved laterally every 2-3 years. You have to make your own path, but overall the company ends up creating paths / finding opps if you perform well, might just on a slower timeline than you'd want.

Pros

I truly love working here. The company’s mission is inspiring and meaningful, and you can feel its impact in the work we do. Leadership is generally collaborative, and the culture is inclusive and welcoming. Compensation is competitive, and the benefits are among the best I’ve seen—truly a standout. The remote-first environment offers a lot of flexibility, which I appreciate.

Cons

That said, the distributed workforce model presents challenges. Without clear company-wide working norms, coordination and execution can feel slow and fragmented. It often takes longer than it should to get things done, which can contribute to stress and burnout. Leadership development could be more intentional and continuous, particularly at the mid-level. There’s also a sense that executive leadership is somewhat removed from the day-to-day realities of the broader organization.

Healthcare is hard. Things that are easy at other non-regulated companies are difficult when dealing with digital health. To truly thrive at Omada, you need to embrace the mission. It gets you through the hard days and makes it worthwhile.
