Pros

The pay is great for an entry position, they teach you the system, help you understand the railroad and how it works within your job. Free time during non-busy hours.

Cons

Don't seem to care about employees as much as the work getting done. Work gets passed downhill. This position is expected to show up to work, while the rest of the office is allowed to call in and work from home, especially when weather is bad.

Great benefits - matching 401k, half your insurance deductible paid, good increasing vacation accrual, annual raises.

Cons

Just like any other company - profits come first. Happy to make too few people do the job of many.

Disengaged Senior Leadership, Ineffective Management, Toxic Culture, Unbalanced Workload, Inconsistent Processes, Lack of Accountability, Burnout, Lack of People Who are Doers, Lack of Diversity and Inclusiveness,Dysfunctional Teams and an Old Boys Club.
