Pros

You get paid training which helps when you have to travel by bus, they help with ANY concerns, and have LOTS of activities to engage in like Magical forest & UNLVino events.

Cons

Very limited areas for work. Only custodial jobs are job connected. I wanted to go into culinary but no training was available at the time.

Pros

Here you are given the opportunity to support persons with developmental disabilities. The clients really need honest, caring staff who are willing and able to help them improve their daily living skills.

Cons

It can be a rewarding experience for staff willing to endure the stifling management which seems to be ever-diligent to punish you for seemingly minor "offences" and rarely rewards the staff for a good job.

Pros

Staff and leadership are dedicated to person centered, self-directed care and services.

Cons

I was dismissed from my position after nearly 4 years when HR learned that I had a physical limitation, which had not impacted my ability to perform my job. They requested that I have my doctor fill out paperwork detailing my limitations and what from, telling me that I needed to ask for a formal accommodation to basically keep working there, even though I had not and did not need it. One Vision ended up using this against me to say that I was a liability and that my inability to stand for long periods and walk long distances without sitting, caused an undue hardship, even though I was not in a physical care role. My direct supervisor was a wonderful mentor and went to bat for me with upper management.
