management is a nightmare. HR (sometimes they don’t have one) is anything but helpful. You can work as hard as you want for AEP but other agents can call your clients and you don’t get paid for them unless plans “stick” as they said.

I was put on a Performance Improvement Plan because I didn't eat lunch in the shared lunch room. They said I wasn't trying hard enough to fit into the culture. My time is my time, and lunch is unpaid therefore we shouldn't be forced to mingle with coworkers at lunch unless we want to. It was a very Cliquey, unwelcoming environment. People kept going to my predecessor for things instead of to me. When I asked what else I could be doing to change that, I was told that I was doing everything I needed to be doing but was still fired because people in the office didn't want someone new in that position.
