Pros

Coworkers were great Tech stack that we were working on is fairly modern

Cons

Pay does not keep up with inflation, recent layoffs and constant reorgs for tech. Uppers read a book and decide to play legos and rearrange based on insights of other people, with no understanding of it themselves. Leading into that, upper management in tech here is unfortunately clueless, micromanaging, has bastardized agile into thinking agile = "fast". Teams are measured based on metrics that we have all learned to game, resulting in a crummy product and customer experience. Everyone has siloed themselves out of fear due to this pressure, resulting in no one wanting to cowork together, yet they complain about said soloing, unironically not realizing that they created it. Another detriment is that they do not understand their platform, yet make demands for how the technical work should be done. You hire experts in respective fields, so let them do the job you hired them to do... Remote culture was shafted, mandatory return to office for "hybrid" and now it's back to difficult to get work done.

Pros

Get to sit at a desk all day

Cons

You come in thinking you will handle loans but it’s very clear they only care about collections you will make hundreds of calls during your day to try to get people to pay their bill instead of loans

We are disappointed to hear you had a less than positive experience with OneMain. Collection duties are part of the primary duties for individuals including branch and call center staff members. It is important that OneMain protects its loan portfolio and collects on accounts that have become delinquent. We strive to work with our customers to try and find an option that meets the needs of all parties. -AS

Pros

Vacation, pto, job stability. If you work in a small office you can usually succeed with hard work.

Cons

Culture is toxic, Never enough. Bonus program favors by branch. Goals are not comparable to branches of the same size and demographics branches. Corporate run around. Underwriting is automated and lacks any reason.
