Flexible Role Ability to contribute if you show initiative Can gain strong visibility in the industry Allow employees the creativity necessary for development

Cons

At times it is very unclear in the direction of the company Management focuses almost nearly all efforts on primary business line with little regard to auxillary products Review process is backwards - no direct tie to true performance (managers admit this is just a formality) Will change compensation plan multiple times with little regard to employee impact

Pros

OSI has some of the best infrastructure for a sales professional including a very powerful CRM deployment, internal knowledge bases, competative analytics, strong marketing tools and staff and a strong focus on customer satisifaction by the executive team. If you want to be a sales person you can't ask for a better environment.

Cons

We've just completed a very brusing 36 month "transformation" from a decentralized "entreprenuerial" organization to a centralized company focused on our two flagship core systems. This transformation was very painful on our clients and employees and we've had an impact on our services reputation that takes time to overcome. Customer satisfaction for new employees and new clients is higher and based on the enthusiasim we saw at the client conference most of our older clients are happier with the new new Open Solutions they're seeing.

Pros

Some great people that really work together as a team to make the best of some pretty difficult situations. We were severely understaffed but still hammered it out to get the job done.

Cons

Don't plan on the company providing you any information to do your job. I was thrown in and given a folder about four inches thick and told sink or swim. I literally took over 12 major projects on day 2 with very little support.
