Pros

Total 20 years of industry experience. Acquired by Opentext in 2013. This review is based on my last 6 years of experience. It took time for me to understand the Company and getting convinced with it's business model and overall system. 1. Mark J. Barrenechea's and his team's leadership and forward thinking help predicting growing business challenges and driving innovation and align entire organization towards its cause accordingly. 2. Every sweat counts, as efforts always align to market needs. 3. Organization's respect towards environmental and social responsibilities. 4. Continuous innovation and comprehensive offerings to EIM market. 5. Opportunity to work in almost all latest technologies. 6. World class Infrastructure. 7. Employee friendly policies which promotes great work-life balance. 8. Strong Global market presence. 9. Experienced and Humble Senior management. 10. Regular updates to employees about present and future focus. 11. Big picture is clear and hence the work is meaningful. 12. Process Driven. 13. Financially stable. 14. Lot of Self learning materials and certifications. 15. Collaboration with industry tycoons like SAP, Microsoft etc. 16. Has strong financial muscle power (has bought Documentum for 1.6 billions) 17. Cab facility and many more.

Cons

1. Opentext is in limelight and influencing EIM market greatly. To keep up the competition and keep advancing, organization is updating strategies and adopting new strategies as appropriate. This is remarkable. But gap in 'understanding of organizational strategies' by employees can lead to great confusion in the employees. Keeping all employees engaged and up to date in organization's cause is a continuous process and challenging. So it is a challenge for both employee and organization. 2. There are too many products and offerings. One need to stay focused and choose area of interest according to his/her strengths. 3. Hyderabad office being tenant in SEZ space, has very limited recreational facilities. To experience fresh air and natural light, one need to get out of the building.

Pros

Great company if you just care about your bonus. As a consultant, you can make money if you do have a lot of billable.

Cons

Mananagement even in europe is like offshore management. You are just assigned on tasks. No thanks if you perform well. You are even not told about pre-sales opportunities you might work on. OpenText just killed acquired Vignette technology: Vignette campaign management is gone and wasn't replaced, no usable shopping integration, poor video integration in the CMS. No improvement in CMS workflow. Not even a single portlet to look at your calendar in SAP. The acquired Vignette products are the same they where 5 years ago. They were put in a sarcophagus. Most of our great customer are leaving because of lack of innovation.
